Seasons

Spring: the shallow dark-bottomed western bays warm first and produce the earliest bass, crappie and pike fishing of the year.
Summer: heavy recreational traffic pushes guided trips to early mornings, with bass on the deep weed edges and muskie work beginning in earnest.
Fall: the strongest muskie weeks and excellent walleye and smallmouth fishing as the boat traffic disappears after Labor Day.
