Missoula River Lodge

Missoula River Lodge, operated under Classic Journey Outfitters, is a fly fishing lodge and guide service based on the Clark Fork River in Huson, about thirty minutes west of Missoula. Owner Joe Cummings started the operation with a single drift boat and has since built it into an outfit running roughly fifteen guides alongside a hospitality staff of chefs and lodge managers; he is now in his twenty-third season guiding Montana rivers. Beyond guiding, the business operates three lodging properties, called Trout Bluff, The River Front, and Rhino Cove, offers farm-to-table dining, and hosts corporate retreats and weddings on more than a mile of private Clark Fork riverfront. Its guided trips extend beyond its three home rivers to Rock Creek and the Missouri River, and clients can book single-day floats or stay on-site as part of an all-inclusive lodging package.
