Montana Angler is a fly fishing outfitter and shop at 435 East Main Street in downtown Bozeman, a family-run business whose guides carry a combined total of more than two hundred years of experience. Beyond the Gallatin and Smith, the outfitter books trips on more than twenty rivers and spring creeks in the region, including the Madison, Yellowstone, Missouri, Big Hole, Jefferson, Boulder, and Stillwater rivers as well as water inside Yellowstone National Park. The business is one of a limited number of outfitters permitted to run the Smith River’s lottery-controlled multi-day float. Outside of guiding, it arranges lodging packages ranging from hotels to all-inclusive fishing lodges and riverfront vacation cabins, coordinates international fly fishing travel, and rents and sells fishing equipment out of its Bozeman storefront. The shop holds an Orvis affiliation and lists client ratings from Orvis and TripAdvisor.
