Little Creek Outfitters is a family outfitting business owned by Marty and Mia Sheppard and based at Maupin, Oregon, on the Deschutes. It has been guiding the John Day since 1984 and has run multi-day camp trips there since 2001, which makes it one of the longer-established operations on the river. The Sheppards guide well beyond it, selling days and camps on the Deschutes, the Grande Ronde, the Sandy and the Owyhee, and hosting a trip on the Kasilof in Alaska. The company also rents rafts to anglers floating unguided, a service kept separate from its guided programme. Rates, trip lengths, meeting points and the split between guided and self-guided camps are all published on its own website.
