Far West Texas Outfitters is based in Presidio, Texas, on the Rio Grande in the far south-west corner of the state, and its own site says the company was formed by Big Bend river guides. Its principal water is the Rio Grande, also called the Rio Bravo del Norte, with the Lower Pecos and the Devils making up the rest of a three-river portfolio across some of the most isolated country in North America. The business is not angling-only: scenic float trips, hiking and backpacking are sold alongside the fishing, and multi-day guests can stage from a bed and breakfast near the water. Bookings and correspondence are handled directly by the outfitter.
