The Poudre is fished on foot and only on foot; the outfitter states plainly that it runs no float trips on this river at all. A half day is two hundred and ninety-five dollars for one angler and three hundred and ninety-five for two, and a full day three hundred and ninety-five for one and four hundred and ninety-five for two, with a slightly lower rate card applied across all three of its waters on the guide service page. The mayfly hatches are what the river is credited with here, and it is fished through the winter as well as in season. Trips run under permit from the Roosevelt National Forest. No individual reaches are named and no species are itemised, so what is sold is the canyon water generally rather than a particular stretch of it.
