Bob Norman’s Riverbend Adventures
Fall River Mills, California
Riverbend Adventures is Bob Norman’s guide service, run from PO Box 774, Fall River Mills, California, and operating as a permittee of the Shasta-Trinity and Six Rivers National Forests. The trout side of the business covers the Fall River Valley, which it calls the largest spring fed system in the world and where all fishing is from boats only, together with the McCloud and Upper Sacramento, which are walk-in and wade only, the Lower Sacramento, and several northern California lakes. A separate steelhead season runs from August through March on roughly eighty miles of the Trinity from the community of Lewiston downriver, sold as drift boat floats or walk-ins depending on river conditions, at $550 for a full day. The fleet is fourteen-foot Vanguard rafts for the bigger rivers and fourteen to sixteen foot Lowe outboard skiffs for the lakes, and all rods, reels, tackle and gear are state of the art and available to clients who need them. A shuttle service is offered from fifty dollars, and bookings take a $250 per guide per day deposit under a thirty-day written cancellation policy.
