Front Range Anglers
Boulder, Colorado · Fishes Boulder Creek
Boulder Creek is one of the waters these trips run on, and the shop’s own description of a day there is a brown trout coming up hard for a dry fly, the moment it says the Front Range earns its reputation. Days are also spent in Rocky Mountain National Park, where the same page describes the wind dropping and the park going still enough to hear the line land. Trips are sized by the hour rather than by the mile: two hours on the water for a Happy Hour outing at $155, four hours for a half day at $315 for one angler, eight hours plus lunch for a full day at $395, and an eight-hour Full Day Expert Techniques option at $515, with the per-angler rate falling for parties of two and three and a separate rate for corporate groups of seven or more. A premium fly rod and reel, Simms and Orvis waders and boots, all flies and tackle, and transport to and from the water are included, and pickup can be arranged from anywhere around Boulder. Lunch comes with full-day trips only. Anglers bring their own Colorado fishing licence, which the state requires from the age of sixteen.
