Two named runs are sold on the Caddo River. Glenwood to Rosboro is the short float, a gently moving current with long gravel bars for stopping to fish, and it is the stretch the outfitter recommends when the river is running low. Glenwood to Amity is the slower, more scenic version, with longer pools and softer rapids that suit beginners. Both are Class I to II water. Canoes, single and tandem kayaks, tubes and eleven-foot rafts go out with paddles and flotation devices, and the shuttle carries paddlers upstream so they finish at a vehicle left at the campground or cabin rather than waiting on the bank for a pickup. Anyone bringing a tent or hammock can stretch the trip overnight.
