South Fork Lodge
Swan Valley, Idaho
South Fork Lodge is a fly fishing lodge and resort in Swan Valley, Idaho, positioned between Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Idaho Falls and about an hour’s drive from Jackson. There has been a lodge on the property for more than eighty years; the current building went up in 1998, built by conservationist Mark Rockefeller, and the place is now owned and operated by guide and outfitter Oliver White together with Jimmy Kimmel. Guests stay in lodge rooms with king beds, renovated cabins, or newly built A frame homes. Food and drink are a large part of the operation: a fine dining restaurant serving family style meals developed with chefs Adam Perry Lang and Chris Bianco, and the Machete Bar, whose whiskey collection is tended by bartender Sadie Montana. There is also an online shop. The Henry’s Fork meets this river 62 miles downstream of the lodge.
