Capt. Jarad Boshammer runs his Loxahatchee River trips out of the East Burt Reynolds boat ramp at 805 N US Highway 1 in Jupiter, fishing an 18-foot Chittum Snake Bight carbon-fiber skiff built for strength at minimal weight. The river is the signature water here: the shop calls it some of the best giant snook fishing anywhere in the world and says giant snook can be caught every month of the year, with tarpon available around the calendar alongside them. Outings run four hours at $700, six hours at $850 and eight hours at $1,000, and a four-hour night option is offered at $700. Conventional or fly tackle is supplied, together with a cooler of ice, all fishing licenses and camera equipment.
