Guided fishing on the Owyhee is all walk-and-wade for Idaho Angler, on a tailwater whose brown trout average seventeen to twenty-one inches. The shop cannot guide the river between the first of December and the end of February, so the year is worked around that closure: squalla stoneflies, blue-winged olives and midges in early spring, pale morning duns, callibaetis, caddis, ants and beetles through May and June, hoppers in midsummer, and mahogany and baetis hatches in the fall. A full day is 595 dollars for one or two anglers and 745 dollars for three, with lunch and beverages provided.
