Saline River Canoe

Two shuttled runs are sold on the Saline River above Benton. Peeler Bend down to Lyle Park is about four miles and two to three hours depending on the level, with shuttles at half past nine, half past twelve and two o’clock; Paul Wright to Lyle Park is roughly eight miles and four to five hours, shuttled at eight and eleven. Each rental covers boat, paddles, vests and the shuttle to the put-in, and all gear is due back by seven in the evening. A pool section at Lyle Park is rented by the half and full day for canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards with no shuttle involved. Children of five and over may float with a signed guardian waiver, and every floater is issued a life jacket and a mesh litter bag.
