St. Peter’s Fly Shop
Fort Collins, Colorado · Fishes Cache la Poudre River
More than forty-five miles of public water on the main stem are guided, on one of the very few Colorado rivers left undammed, which rises at Poudre Lake inside Rocky Mountain National Park. Trips head up into Poudre Canyon and leave from the Old Town shop, which sits about a mile from the water. Both wade days and float days are sold. A half day float is six hundred dollars and a full day seven hundred, with a separate rate card running from November to March and a five hundred dollar half day float quoted on the shop’s own guide service page. Wade days run three hundred and fifty to six hundred for a half and four hundred and fifty to seven hundred for a full, according to how many rods are out. Gear, waders, boots, Sage and Scott rods, Lamson, Hatch and Ross reels, flies, snacks and drinks are included, with lunch on the full days, and a day can be pitched toward casting instruction and entomology or simply toward fishing.
