Two different pieces of the Toccoa are fished. Float trips run the lower tailwater, a stretch that holds trout the whole year round, from drift boats. The upper river carries a Delayed Harvest section managed for catch and release from November through to May, and that is fished on foot. Wade trips come in two forms: public water, and private water where the outfit holds access, and either can take a party of up to twelve people, which makes this one of the few operations on the river able to handle a group rather than a boat’s worth of anglers. Gear is included on every trip, rods, reels and flies alike, and on-the-water coaching comes with it rather than being charged as a lesson. The fish are a mix of wild and holdover trout.
