Team Brodie Charters
Biloxi, Mississippi · Fishes Biloxi Bay, Mississippi Sound
Boats leave the D’Iberville Marina under the north end of the Interstate 110 bridge, with most departures at seven in the morning, and the fishing is light tackle worked tight to structure: piers, jetties, bridge pilings and oyster reefs. Redfish and speckled trout head the list, joined by Spanish mackerel, flounder, sheepshead, black drum, tripletail, gafftopsail catfish and white trout. The one clear seasonal marker the charter gives is summer, when small sharks hold in the Mississippi Sound and push into Biloxi Bay. Half-day and all-day trips are sold, with rates quoted by telephone rather than printed because of fuel prices. Bait, ice, tackle, rods, reels, the Mississippi fishing licence and cleaning and bagging the catch are all part of the package.
