Voyagaire Lodge & Houseboats

The guide service launches from the Voyagaire docks on Crane Lake or collects anglers from their houseboat, and a standard trip fishes Crane Lake itself or carries on into Sand Point, Namakan or Kabetogama in the Voyageurs National Park country. A three-quarter day runs from eight in the morning until two and costs 525 dollars as a base plus 75 dollars a head, and a full day runs to half past four at 725 plus 75 a head, with four anglers the maximum in either case. Boat, fishing equipment, bait and gas are all in the price. The trip is shaped around what the party wants to catch and how experienced they are, which is asked at booking: walleye, muskie, smallmouth, crappie and trout are all named as targets, and beginners are taken as readily as anglers who want to sharpen a technique.
