AK Charters is a family owned guided fishing operation based at the King For A Day Campground on the Richardson Highway at Copper Center, Alaska. Its home water is the Klutina River, with the Copper and the Gulkana making up the rest of the guided range, and the same base supports a much broader visitor operation than fishing alone. Guests can stay on site in the campground, in RV spaces or in cabins, and the company sells ATV tours, kayaking and scenic float trips alongside the guided angling. Rates are published openly, kids of twelve and under go at half price, and military discounts are offered. A scenic float runs at $275 per person, and casting and technique lessons start from $180.
