This is a one guide operation licensed in California, with an office address on Bank Street in downtown Grass Valley. Ragan moved to the Sierra foothills and took out his guide license around 2007, crediting the youth outreach nonprofit Cast Hope as the push behind the decision. He carries a US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential, a California Department of Fish and Game guide license, and current First Aid, CPR and AED certification. Beyond time on the water the business handles trip logistics: pickup from Sacramento International Airport can be arranged for a fee, and combined packages covering guiding, rooms, dinner and transport are put together on request. Lodging suggestions are listed by region for Grass Valley and Nevada City, Yuba City, Oroville and the Delta, matching the spread of country worked, from valley rivers to Sierra foothill reservoirs and the Delta.
