Madison Valley Ranch is a guest ranch and fishing lodge in Ennis, Montana, and Eaton Outfitters is the guiding side of it. The ranch is an Orvis-endorsed lodge that took Lodge of the Year honors in 2015 and again in 2021. Beyond time on the water it provides rooms, meals and a culinary program that includes wine dinners running October through May, plus space for group retreats and gatherings. Professional fly fishing instruction is part of what the ranch sells, and packages and rates are published for booking rather than quoted per trip. Chris and Julie Eaton own the operation, with Josh and Hannah Eaton also on the guide staff, a family roster of four. The ranch works waters across southwestern Montana in addition to the river it sits above.
