New River Fly Fishing

The business is a guide operation with no retail store attached, addressed on Floyd Highway South at the edge of the Blue Ridge in southwest Virginia, well inside the New River Valley. Mike Smith fronts it and handles bookings, with a small roster of guides working under the name including Steve Campbell and Frank. The scope is deliberately narrow: a warmwater river, a trout tailwater and a controlled stretch of private spring fed water, all within a short drive of Floyd. Coaching and instruction are sold apart from guided days, at any skill level, and terminal tackle and waders are covered by the operation. A private fishing cabin is kept for guests, and the site maintains separate pages listing local lodging, seasonal timing, things to do in the area and driving notes for anglers coming up from North Carolina.
