ROW Adventures is the trading name of ROW Inc., a Coeur d Alene, Idaho business whose acronym stands for River Odysseys West. Its own account dates it to November 1979, when the founder and his brother formed the company and registered it as a partnership in San Francisco, California. In 1984 it was chosen by the United States Forest Service as one of five outfitters permitted to run rafting trips on the Lochsa, a permit it still trades on. The company has since grown well beyond one river into wider adventure travel, and states that it is an equal opportunity recreation service provider. Its river work reaches across the north-west and beyond, and guests reach the Idaho trips through Lewiston, Spokane and Missoula.
