The business runs from 111 Main Street in Caratunk, a small village in the Forks area of western Somerset County. It is a guide service rather than a lodge or a retail store: rooms are recommended rather than operated, and clients are collected from wherever they have chosen to stay. Rods, spinning outfits and terminal tackle are supplied with every booking, and meals come with the longer outings. The territory spans three drainages, the Kennebec, the Dead and the Penobscot, and the water types inside that range vary widely, from tailwater below hydroelectric dams to braided freestone reaches and remote mountain ponds reached away from the road. Bookings can be run on either fly or spin tackle depending on the species and the time of year, and fish are handled for release.
