Upper Andro Guide Service

This is a single guide business built around two bases at opposite ends of one river system. The Maine end is Bethel, a mountain village in the western hills that sits roughly ninety minutes from Portland and Freeport and about three hours from Boston, with ski areas and year round recreation bringing visitors through outside the fishing season. From Bethel the trout water lies west of town while the smallmouth water runs off to the northeast, so the choice of put-in depends on what an angler is after that day. Tyrrell handles the booking, the boat and the day on the water himself.
