CT Fish Guides

Riverton, Connecticut · Fishes Farmington River

The Farmington River is the home water, worked out of 116 Riverton Road at the top of the valley, and days go either wading or in a drift boat according to flows and to what the angler wants. Wild brown trout and survivor strain browns are the mainstay, with Seeforellen browns, carp and pike also taken. Derrick Kirkpatrick teaches nymphing, dry fly, wet fly, streamer and night fishing as part of the day, and the river is guided through the winter as well as through the main season.
