Trips are wade trips on the small streams of the Black Hills, Rapid Creek and Spearfish Creek chief among them, with Spring Creek, Box Elder Creek and Castle Creek also guided. Brown trout predominate, with brook and rainbow trout alongside them, and April through October is the working season. Caddis in black, tan and olive, baetis, midges, yellow stoneflies and autumn terrestrials carry the hatch calendar. A half day is $400 for one or two anglers and a full day $550, with larger parties priced in pairs up to six rods, and no more than two anglers are put with one guide. Rods and waders are supplied at no charge.
