Tennessee on the Fly

Nashville, Tennessee

Tennessee on the Fly launched in 2016 and is run out of Nashville by James and Amy Johnsey, with Drew Taylor and Matt Payne on the guide roster. Rates are $600 for a full day with two anglers, $575 for a full day with one, and $500 for a half day with one or two, plus a $50 travel fee outside Middle Tennessee. Day trips include the guide, lunch, tackle and flies, along with local knowledge, technique work and casting instruction as the day allows. Anglers meet their guide at an agreed spot rather than at a fixed dock, with drive times running from ten minutes to about an hour and a half. Beyond the two rivers above, the business books the Caney Fork and runs dedicated musky trips as a separate product.
