Jensen Beach, Florida · Fishes St. Lucie Estuary
Capt. Jeremy Neff targets specific inshore species in day, evening and night conditions in the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon, working docks, seawalls, the inlet, creeks, sandbars, islands, inshore reef, mangrove shoreline, grass flats and bridges. The pitch is that there is always a calm place to fish in the river, inshore of the barrier islands that separate the Atlantic from the Intracoastal Waterway. The skiff is a 1989 Dolphin 18-foot backcountry hull behind a 2021 115-horsepower Mercury four-stroke, with a MinnKota trolling motor and a Simrad GO9 with side scan; it takes up to six passengers within a 550-pound limit and is described as best for one, two or three adults. Trips run two to eight hours or longer: $450 for two to three hours, $500 for four, $600 for five and $850 for eight, with fly and night trips priced on the same ladder. Extra anglers are $50 and two children under twelve fish free with a charter. Bait, tackle, licences, chilled bottled water, towels, a cooler, bags and a fillet knife are included. Trips meet at the Jensen Beach Causeway boat ramps.
