Yellowstone Country Fly Fishing
Livingston, Montana
Yellowstone Country Fly Fishing is owned and operated by Walter Wiese, who founded it in Gardiner in 2014 and moved the operation to Livingston in 2018. It is a small home based business with no retail storefront. Wiese has guided in Montana since 2001, still takes many trips personally, and has several other guides on staff, and the company deliberately limits itself to five parties a day. It works roughly a hundred mile radius of Livingston: the northern portion of Yellowstone Park, the trout water of the Yellowstone and Madison rivers in Montana, the Boulder, the Missouri, the Stillwater and various smaller streams. Private water trips, beginner trips, half and full days, multi day packages and winter fishing from November through March are all sold.
