Lake Chelan Adventures
Chelan, Washington · Fishes Lake Chelan
Lake Chelan is fifty and a half miles of glacier-fed water, a mile and a half across at its widest and 1,486 feet deep, stretching from the towns of Chelan and Manson all the way up to Stehekin, and Mark Lippincott fishes it the year round rather than in a short season. What the site leads with is deep-water work for winter chinook salmon and cutthroat trout. Half days run mornings or evenings at $160 a head, tax included, with a two-adult minimum; full days are $250 on the same terms. One child of fifteen or under comes free with each paying adult and additional children are half price, anglers of sixteen and over need a licence, a $100 non-refundable deposit holds the date and all fishing equipment is supplied.
