Schroeder’s fishes roughly three hundred fully guided charters on Lake Minnetonka in a normal summer, which is a working knowledge of a fifteen thousand acre lake built from five to seven days a week on the water. Muskie, northern pike, walleye, bass and panfish are all sold as guided products with their own pages. The muskie trip is the speciality: a premium booking of three to six hours comes with a guarantee that at least one fish will be boated, and in a normal year several clients pass the fifty inch mark with a fish over fifty-five taking top honours. Parties run one to four anglers per boat and everything is provided, so guests need only turn up. Winter moves onto the ice with both fully guided portable and permanent house trips, and the lake is about twenty minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul, which is the practical argument for fishing it at all.
