PA Troutfitters
Slatedale, Pennsylvania · Fishes Little Lehigh Creek, Monocacy Creek
PA Troutfitters sells walk-and-wade trout days on Little Lehigh Creek and Monocacy Creek, the pair of Lehigh Valley limestone spring creeks that run through Allentown and Bethlehem and hold wild brown trout within sight of the towns. Both are year-round water: spring-fed and cold, they stay fishable through the winter months when the Lehigh River tailwater is out of shape, and they fish on light tackle and long leaders through the sulphur and trico months of early summer. The same guides run drift-boat days on the Lehigh, the Upper Delaware and the Susquehanna, and the Pohopoco is worked as a third wade option, so a booking can be moved between boat and wade water as flows dictate. Days are quoted on the company’s own pricing page and booked through its request-to-book form or by phone.
