Captain Douglas Miller runs half and full day inshore and nearshore charters across the Lowcountry delta in and around the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, a range that takes in Winyah Bay, North Inlet, the DeBordieu creeks, Georgetown Harbor and the North and South Santee River deltas, and carries on upriver past the old rice plantations. The fishing is light tackle and sightfishing: trout, sheepshead and redfish are available the year round, flounder is best from spring through autumn, and tarpon and sharks come on in the late summer months. Half days run about five hours and full days about eight, priced for two guests with additions up to four, and private dock and location pick-ups can be arranged.
