River View Cabins & Canoes

Canoe and kayak rental with shuttles on the Ouachita River, from a two-hour float up to an all-day run. Shuttles travel both upstream and downstream, which lets paddlers choose a direction as well as a length and reach water that is otherwise awkward to get at. The business points floaters toward some of the best fishing in Arkansas along the way, naming largemouth and smallmouth bass together with catfish, crappie, bluegill and stripers in the river and the lakes near it, and bank fishing is possible straight off the river frontage for anyone not taking a boat out. The Ouachita National Forest lines the route and wildlife is plentiful along the banks.
