Parks’ Fly Shop

Float trips leave from Gardiner and cover what the shop counts as over 100 miles of floatable Yellowstone River, with dry fly work concentrated in the upper stretches and streamer fishing downstream. Drift boats or whitewater rafts are used depending on the water. Full days meet between 7 and 9 in the morning; half days meet from 7 to noon. The rate covers wading or wet wading gear, flies, tippet and leaders, rods and reels, transportation from the shop, and lunch on full days, with equipment supplied on request. Every trip is catch and release and fly fishing only, and the minimum age is eight. The shop sits three blocks from the starting point. Alongside floats the guide service runs walk and wade days, beginner trips built for families and first time anglers, casting lessons, private water on ranch lakes and spring creeks, and winter guided trips.
