Great Divide Outfitters
Divide, Montana · Fishes Big Hole River
Trips work the Big Hole River, which the outfitter describes as a classic free stone river running through high mountain valleys, steep canyons and wide cottonwood bottoms, with wild trout and Arctic grayling in it. Boats launch from Divide, Montana. Rafts and drift boats are both used, and walk and wade days and private pond fishing are offered as alternatives. A full guided day is $795 per boat for one or two anglers and covers flies, tackle, a streamside lunch, non alcoholic beverages, local transport, and fishing equipment for anglers who need it; Montana licenses and guide gratuity are not part of that. The multi day Camp and Fish trip runs $750 per person per day and pairs a day of float fishing with a fully set up riverside camp, dinner and appetizers, which the operation calls its favorite way to see the river. All inclusive packages are quoted on request, and June and July are the months the outfitter asks anglers to book well ahead.
