South Platte Fly Shop

South Platte Fly Shop guides wade trips on the South Platte River from its base in Woodland Park, Colorado, spreading across the river’s separate personalities: the Dream Stream below Spinney, Eleven Mile Canyon, Cheesman Canyon, and Deckers. Each sits within a thirty to forty five minute drive of the shop, so a day can be routed to whichever is fishing best. Half day trips run four hours and are priced at $350 for one angler, $450 for two, and $550 for three. Full days run six hours at $450, $550, and $650 for the same party sizes, with four anglers the daily maximum. Waders, boots, rods, reels, tippet, and flies come with the trip; lunch does not, and anglers drive themselves to the water. Stillwater days on Eleven Mile and Spinney reservoirs are also offered, where pike and carp join the trout. Guides are insured and hold CPR and first aid certification.
