Fish Heads guides the Provo River near Heber City, Utah, a blue ribbon trout fishery, including the lower river flowing out of Deer Creek Reservoir with Mount Timpanogos standing over the water. Half day trips run four hours at $310 for one angler, $435 for two, and $585 for three. Full days run eight hours with lunch provided at $450, $590, and $695 for the same party sizes. A lower Provo float is booked separately at $540 for one or two anglers. Brown trout average fourteen to eighteen inches and rainbows sixteen to eighteen, with cutthroat also in the mix. Gear comes with every trip: Patagonia waders and top of the line rod and reel setups are handed out at no extra charge. Guides take beginners and experienced anglers alike and work at whatever level the party brings to the river.
