Pere Marquette River Lodge
Baldwin, Michigan · Fishes Pere Marquette River
Guided days work the Pere Marquette at Baldwin, Michigan, the river the lodge describes as the longest undammed trout stream in the state, a National Scenic River, and one of the first American waters stocked with brown trout, including the flies only, no kill section. The guides fish it for trout, steelhead and salmon, and the calendar turns over month by month, with trico hatches among the summer trout events. A full day for two is $600 covering lunch or dinner, tackle and transportation. During salmon season, September 1 through October 31, the full day rate is $700. Half days for two are $450 with a snack, beverages, tackle and transportation, and half days are not run during the September and October salmon period or from March 1 to May 1. Waders rent at $65 a day. Booking takes a 50 percent deposit, and gratuity is separate.
