Roscoe, New York · Fishes West Branch Delaware River
Guiding covers the Upper Delaware system and the Catskill streams around Roscoe, New York: the Beaverkill, Willowemoc Creek, the East and West branches of the Delaware and the main stem Delaware. Days are run both as walk wading trips and from a drift boat, with a ClackaCraft in the fleet. Trout are fished on the fly and released, and smallmouth bass are taken on fly and on spin tackle, with carp another fly rod target. River reports are published from April through November, which is the working stretch of the season, and the winter months are given over to fly fishing shows. Dry fly fishing is a stated specialty of the guide staff. Larger groups and corporate outings are covered by bringing in affiliated guides so several boats or wading parties can go out at once.
