Bear Valley Rafting

Bear Valley runs this river from Banks, inside the Boise National Forest and fifty-five minutes from Boise. Half-day trips go down either the Main or the South Fork, while full days run either the South Fork’s Canyon section or the Cabarton stretch of the North Fork. Half days start at sixty-seven dollars an adult and full days at one hundred and nineteen. Helmets, personal flotation devices and paddles come with the boat, along with a safety briefing and guides trained in swiftwater rescue, and every full-day trip includes a lunch the guide prepares on the bank. The company’s season closes on the seventh of September, so the year here is a summer one and plans made later belong to the following spring.
