Huzzah Valley Resort
Steelville, Missouri · Fishes Huzzah Creek
Canoeing, kayaking, rafting and inner tubing are all run on the Huzzah, with two and a half miles of the resort’s own riverfront camping strung out along it. Trips go out by canoe, raft, single or tandem kayak and tube, and short kiddie rides are sold for families who want children on the water without committing to a full float. The water here is the clear, gravel-bottomed Ozark stream that drains the hills west of Steelville before joining the Meramec, and floats and river gear are booked through the same system the resort uses for its lodging. Horseback riding on the trails behind the camp fills the days off the river.
