McKenzie River Guide Service
Springfield, Oregon · Fishes McKenzie River
Guided days are drift boat fly fishing trips on the McKenzie River in Oregon, described as 90 miles long from its headwaters in the central Oregon Cascades down to its confluence with the Willamette River west of Springfield, near Eugene. The craft is the McKenzie River drift boat, the open-water dory design that took its name from this river. Two guests ride per boat, and the day is customized to what the party wants; a hot cooked shore lunch is prepared on request. Trout are the fish. Instruction is folded into the trip at whatever level is needed, from someone who has never held a fly rod through to advanced anglers, and mixed parties where not everyone intends to fish can be accommodated. Groups larger than one boat are put together through working relationships with other professional guides on the river.
