The Blanco runs eighty-seven miles from its source springs in Kendall County down to the confluence with the San Marcos, and the outfitter is candid that nearly the whole bank is privately owned. Arranged access is therefore the actual product here, not simply a guided day. Half days of four hours are $400 and full days of eight hours are $550. The season runs March through November. Rods, reels and flies are provided, waders and boots are available to rent at $25, and gratuity and drinks are not included. The quarry list covers Guadalupe, smallmouth, largemouth and striped bass along with Rio Grande cichlids, sunfish and carp.
