Winter stoneflies were tailing off by then and baetis had regained their status as the go-to bug, with skwalas fishing well either as a searching pattern or as the dry in a dry-dropper rig. The reports also caution anglers off shallow gravel bars where redds are hard to spot. Guided options here are half-day and full-day walk-and-wade, full-day float trips, and stillwater days on the surrounding reservoirs.
