Cross Current Outfitters

Cross Current Outfitters is an Orvis endorsed guide service and fly shop with its office at 6048 Hancock Highway in Starlight, Pennsylvania, in the hills above the river system it works. Captain Joe Demalderis owns the business and has more than twenty years behind him; the guide roster runs to eight and includes Tim Oliphant, Anita Coulton, Dean Clavio, Luc Genovesi, Bill Longstreet, Brook Bindus, and Kit Barrese. The shop stocks flies, fly tying materials, gear, waders, clothing, sunglasses, dog goods, and upland hunting accessories, ships free over $150, and sells river access maps and gift cards. Waters guided extend to the Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and Neversink, plus salt water for striped bass, false albacore, blues, and bonefish. Demalderis leads a February trip to Estancia del Zorro in Chilean Patagonia.
