Great Sacandaga Dave is a one-boat fishing charter operated by Dave Allen out of 1751 Route 30 in Mayfield, New York. Allen has fished the Sacandaga for more than fifty-seven years and has won a share of local tournaments; the mounted northern pike, walleye and brown trout on his wall all came off this lake. He ran Dave’s Bait & Tackle for several years before deciding he wanted to spend less time behind a shop counter and more of it on the water. He holds the licences and certifications New York State requires to charter a fishing boat, publishes his pricing and a photo gallery, and takes payment in cash only for the time being.
