Park City On The Fly
Park City, Utah
Park City On The Fly is a small, locally owned fly fishing guide service at 1109 Park Ave in Park City, Utah, owned and run by Ken and Jen Mihal, who call it Park City’s only mom-and-pop guide operation. Both owners guide clients themselves, they have fished these Utah rivers since the early 1990s and have guided them commercially since 2001. Beyond the two eastern rivers the service also sells trips on the Weber, the Provo and Hams Fork, and lists Flaming Gorge and lake fishing separately. Bookings are taken as half days, full days on local water roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes from town, or full days on remote water an hour and a half out. A maximum of three clients is assigned to any one guide, so parties of four or more are split across several guides, and afternoon trips are capped at two. Rates cover all gear, snacks and water, transport to the river can be arranged for an extra charge, and the company advertises a discount for booking a female guide.
