Peach State Fly Fishing

Peach State Fly Fishing is an Orvis-endorsed fly-fishing outfitter based in Macon, Georgia, about an hour and a half south of Atlanta International Airport, guiding the central and middle Georgia river systems. It runs a roster rather than a single skipper: owner and head guide Quint Rogers, who has logged over a thousand days on Georgia Piedmont waters and has worked in the industry in both Montana and Pennsylvania, plus a walk-and-wade guide, a boat guide who has fly fished for nearly thirty years, a seasonal guide and a specialty guide holding a master’s in fisheries from Auburn University, together carrying over fifteen years of combined experience. Beyond day trips the outfit sells the Lower Flint River Retreat, an all-inclusive package of two days of guided float trips with luxury riverfront lodging, Southern-style meals and bar service, starting at $6,000 with a four-angler minimum. It also runs a retail shop.
