Riverside Fly Shop

Riverside Fly Shop is a full service fly shop owned and operated by Brandon and Mary Carole Jackson, sitting on the bank of the water it works. Retail is a real part of the business: rods, waders, boots, flies and fly tying materials over the counter, plus a separate online store for orders placed from a distance. Instruction is offered as well, with casting classes taught on site and a 45 dollar starter package that puts rental gear in a beginner’s hands before any larger commitment. NuCanoe sit-on-top kayaks are rented for paddling and fishing, and primitive campsites sit along the water behind the shop, so an overnight can be built around a day out. The physical address is 17027 Highway 69 South in Bremen, while mail goes to a Jasper address, in the Smith Lake country of northwest Alabama.
